As we enter another season of growth and renewal, we’re reminded of the profound impact that gathering together and creating with our hands can have on our well-being and sense of connection. For over two decades, The Secret Garden has been a hub of creativity and community, offering a diverse range of workshops that celebrate the beauty of nature and the joy of crafting. From gardening essentials to nature-inspired crafts, our workshops provide a space for individuals to come together, learn new skills, and forge lasting connections with like-minded souls.

A little history …
I remember one of the first workshops we ever hosted. It was held after hours inside the gift shop. We scooted displays out of the way, cleared off one of the tables and squeezed in our handful of guests. It was so much fun! I was hooked and instantly got busy coming up with a wide range of different classes we could offer. Eventually we managed to secure a dedicated space for our classes. Vic graciously conceded his workroom to our workshop department – even installing heat and a/c so we could all be comfortable in there no matter the weather. We are so grateful for this space in which to Relax, Create & Enjoy the creative process.
Present Day …
One of our more recent workshops on how to make macrame plant hangers was a testament to the power of creativity and collaboration. Participants gathered, their hands busy knotting and weaving patterns. As they worked, conversation filled the air, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. By the end of the workshop, each participant had crafted a useful macrame plant hanger, a tangible symbol of their creativity and connection to nature. Whether the class is macrame or mosaic, wreath making or herbal crafting, there is always something wonderful going on in this space. Classes often sell out quickly so when you do see something you are interested in, act quickly to avoid disappointment. We’re excited to introduce our new Private Workshop Experience, offering private party packages for groups of 12-16. A private workshop party is a wonderful option for a birthday, team building, or just because! We’ll take care of the set up and clean up, making it a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.
